AC out? Breaker tripping? I'll tell you why.

Jose Teran, AC and electrical across west Houston. You hear what's actually wrong, and what it costs, before I pick up a tool. No upsell, no runaround.

What I work on

Cooling and power. Diagnosed first, fixed second.

Four service types, and that's the list on purpose. If your job needs a permit, a panel swap, or a full system install, I'll tell you and point you to someone set up for it.

HVAC troubleshooting

Something's running wrong and nobody's told you why. I trace it back to the actual fault instead of guessing at parts.

  • No cooling / weak airflow
  • Unit short cycling
  • Thermostat + control faults

AC repair + maintenance

Repairs on units that quit, plus the seasonal service that keeps a working system from becoming an August emergency.

  • Capacitor + contactor swaps
  • Coil cleaning + drain lines
  • Refrigerant checks (EPA 608)

Electrical troubleshooting

Breakers that trip, outlets that died, lights that flicker. I find where the circuit is actually failing and explain it in plain words.

  • Repeat breaker trips
  • Dead outlets + circuits
  • Flickering / dimming lights

Small electrical repairs

The short list of fixes that don't need a crew or a permit. Swaps, replacements, and the jobs a big company won't drive out for.

  • Switch + outlet replacement
  • Fixture swaps
  • Device + connection repairs

Something else going on?

Your problem might not fit any of the boxes above. That's fine. Call me, tell me what it's doing, and I'll say straight off whether it's something I handle.

Electrical work is performed within the scope of a TDLR electrical apprentice license. Jobs that require a licensed electrical contractor get referred out. Ask and I'll tell you which one yours is.

How a call runs

Three steps, and you know the price before step three.

Tell me what it's doing

Tell me the symptom and your address. Photos of the unit or the panel help a lot. I'll say straight up whether it's something I handle.

I find the actual fault

I test the system and find the fault. Then you get the cause, the fix, and what it costs, before I pick up a tool.

Fixed, or referred out

If it's in my scope, I do the work that day when parts allow. If it isn't, you get the honest reason and a name to call.

Who shows up

Jose Teran. One phone, one truck, no call center.

I spent four years at a Goya plant running and maintaining industrial machinery, working around electrical and mechanical systems every shift. Production equipment doesn't wait for you to look something up. You learn to read a system fast and find the fault that's actually causing the problem.

Before that I worked in Mexico, plus several more years in warehouse and industrial settings. I carry an HVAC license and an electrical apprentice license through TDLR, and EPA Section 608 certification for refrigerant work.

When you call, you get me. I speak English and Spanish, so nothing gets lost explaining what's wrong with your system or what it's going to take to fix it.

Jose Teran in a hard hat and safety glasses.
